teamLab shines at Shenzhen, China

Kaleidoscopic, mesmeric, mind-blowing — what can best describe teamLab's show in China? Occupying 4000 square meters of exhibition space and spanning nearly five months, teamLab's Shenzhen debut  - “teamLab: Dance! Art Exhibition, Learn & Play! Future Park” is now on view at OCT Creative Exhibition Center, Shenzhen, China from July 8 until Nov 30,  2017.

An interdisciplinary group founded in 2001, the Tokyo-based digital art collective was first introduced by celebrated Takashi Murakami at his Kaikai Gallery Taipei in 2011.  teamLab quickly rises to prominence for its immersive experiential art related to the natural world, from the psychedelic crystal universe to the colour-mutating flower forest emblematic of seasonal change and the temporariness of life.  The intricacy of teamLab's art goes beyond mere visual loops as each visitor's motion activates deviations to the digital installations.

This Shenzhen show unveils six of their representative interactive installations, together with eight palpable games that nurture kid's imaginations. teamLab's popularity in Japan, China and worldwide might allude to a new epoch of art that generates interactions and builds connections with people.
